“Before, During, and After an Active Assailant Incident”— AAIWG Symposium 2025

The AAIWG will host its third Symposium event on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. The theme of this year’s Symposium is “Before, During, and After an Active Assailant Incident” and will focus on best practices in prevention, preparedness, response and recovery that can be implemented by the whole community. The symposium will include breakout sessions and/or panel discussions to enable more in-depth exploration of discipline-specific topics for attendees.
As the agenda and speakers are finalized, information will be posted on this page.
How do I apply to attend?
Since space is limited for this free event, prospective attendees are required to apply. Completing this form does not guarantee you a seat at the symposium. Applications are available here and must be submitted by February 7, 2025. A selection committee will ensure seat selections are made to ensure fair and adequate distribution throughout Maryland. You will be notified of your selection the week of February 17, 2025.
How do I apply to be an exhibitor?
The AAIWG will also be looking for government and non-profit organizations to host exhibits at the event to share information and resources with our attendees. If you are interested in being an exhibitor, please email aaiwg.mdem@maryland.gov
